My Grandparents represent the strength of our family. With eight children and 23 grandchildren, they have opened their hearts and home to everyone. Grandma always has a cookie jar and coffee waiting and Grandpa is ready to give anyone a hard time. He is known in Bowman as the 77-year-old juvenile delinquent because of his kiddish personality. They both, through health problems with macular degeneration and diabetes, have been able to keep up with the clan and for this, I think they should be honored. Grandpa and Granma have both been involved for many years at St. Charles Catholic Church in Bowman: Grandpa on the financial committee and Grandma with Guild and Catholic Daughters. Grandma has also volunteered at the Sunset Nursing Home, fixing the elderly ladies' hair. -Jennifer Flath |
