Media Liaison From Your State

Position/Title: State Media Liaison to the National Grandparents Day Council

Duties:

1. Submit to Grandparents Day Council upbeat news articles (written by you or clipped from newspapers, magazines, etc.). Stories should be about senior activities and/or intergenerational activities in your community and/or state.

2. Distribute information provided to you by the Grandparents Day Council to:

Nursing Homes
Schools
TV and radio stations
Youth groups
Websites
Senior Centers
Etc.

Qualifications:

l. Desire to participate in upbeat information-sharing about older and younger generations as they enjoy and assist each other.

2. Ability to transmit information by e-mail or fax, in addition to US mail.

Hours: Two to six hours per month, from April through September.

Compensation: This is a volunteer/meritorious position.
