Katharine Patricia Wilson (Kathy) 46, of Lakeside died June 21, 2002, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Buffalo, New York. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Trombley in 1983 and her father Richard Trombley in 2000.
Kathy's life ambition was to care for seniors. Her sweet spirit touched all those who had the privilage of knowning her. She was an employee with the County of San Diego, working as a CNA at Edgemoor Hospital for a time. A very talented poet and author, Kathy was published by Golden Press and the National Library of Poetry.
Kathy graduated from San Diego State University in 2000 with her B.A. in Gerentology. She served as a Newsletter Editor and Executive Secretary for the National Grandparents Council, as well as Editor for the Gold Coast Gazette Equestrian Newsletter. Her favorite hobby was her miniature horse "Showdown" who was featured in local KSON radio station television commercials.
Kathy is survived by her fiance Steven Jones; her children Mike, Mark and Amy Wanser; brothers Richard and Robert; grandsons Cameron and Jordan; niece Kali; daughter-in-law Corrine; sister-in-law Traci; step-mother Lucy; plus "sisters"/best friends Kathleen and Jocelyn and many other friends.
